For a spectacular view over Lake Garda, there is nothing better than a ride on Malcesine’s cableway. From Malcesine to the summit of Monte Baldo there are various different trails with many different kinds of difficulty levels and durations for trekking or mountain biking.

Sightseeing and transportation
Public transportation is available in the form of catamarans, ferries, hydrofoils, rail, bus, and car. The ferries are operated by Navigazione Laghi. There are two regional bus services in the Lake Garda area. They are the Verona buses (east and south) and the Brescia buses (west and south). There is also the Trentino bus service for the Rovereto region. As for rail service, Italian Railways has two railway stations in the Lake Garda area. They are at Desenzano del Garda and Peschiera del Garda and both stations are on the southern end of the lake. However, there is also north to the south railway between Bolzano and Verona with a train station at Rovereto.
